Computer helps paralysed man walk!
For the first time in the world, a paralysed person has been able to walk. This miracle has happened with the help of a computer.
Adam Fritz, whose spine got severed in a motorcycle accident was bed ridden. Scientists in California, U.S.A. were able to rig him up to a computer, which was able to translate his brain signals into leg motion, bypassing his spine.
According to scientist Zoran Nenadic, team leader of the scientists, this showed the possibility “to restore intuitive, brain-controlled walking after a complete spinal cord injury”.
