NASA Big Idea Forum for students
Bright innovative ideas can always be found around the corridors of classrooms whether in schools or in university to inspire thought-provoking ideas for the next generation.
NASA is looking for help from these students to help them think out of the box in their mission to Mars.
The space agency is looking for alternative ways to safely deliver more than 22 tons of cargo to the surface of Mars. The technology must have the ability for other applications where it could be used for various missions.
In this, NASA is hoping to test the inflatable concept in a simulated environment similar to Mars’ thin atmosphere and safely land it on the surface.
NASA is asking students to submit their concepts by November 15. The selected team will present it at the BIG Idea Forum at Langley in April 2016.
