“Remember not to use the Device Underwater” Sony Disclaimer. A shocked outcry as we all have been splattered with advertising images of its Xperia’s phones being used underwater. It seems they are not as waterproof as thought off.
These Sony devices, to achieve their IP65/68 rating have a limited water resistance. It can stand up to heavy rainstorm, a chat in the comforts of a bathtub or a run under the bathroom faucet. However all covers for their micro USB port, micro sim slot and memory card slot must be firmly closed. Sony claims it will remain functional after immersion in fresh water below minimum of 1 meter depth.
