The Netherlands are on the brink of experiencing something they have prevented for almost three decades now. A formidable Dutch line up which gave defending champions Spain a big 5-1 blow in the last European Championships, now have faint chances of even qualifying for the Euro 2016.
Two consecutive losses have come in as shocks being from Turkey who thrashed Holland with a comfortable 3-0 victory and the second one from Iceland. What’s more chilling for the Dutch in the latter case is that they lost to Iceland on their home ground for 1-0.
With the likes of Robin van Persie and Wesley Sneijder, such losses must have been sharp hammers in the back. Holland currently stands fourth in Group A and have no or minute chances of going up.
