Kerala government considered to setting up a de- addiction institute
Kerala government plans for setting up a de- addiction institute as a part of its liquor policy.
The aim of this project is to strengthen the anti-alcohol drive and to meet the target of total prohibition in the coming next years.
The art institute associated with the states which will co-ordinate many de-addiction programs.
The faculty is considered to be set up at the exercise academy campus in Thirussur district.
This will come under the “Subhodham” project which was launched to clean the state from alcohol and drug abuse and also to help people to overcome addiction.
Other than this there are many NGO’s and state agency run by the state government that work for the addicted people.
The government had closed down over 700 liquor bars statewide last year as part of the policy.
