Castro birthday wish, US pay damages
Fidel Castro 89th birthday fell on the eve of US Secretary Of State John Kerry’s historic trip to Havana.

The retired president, Castro marked his birthday on Aug 13, with a newspaper column in which he recounted the United States aggression against Cuba to impose economic embargo in 1962. The Relations were broken in 1961 as he rallied Cuba into a socialist model and allied with the Soviet Union.
He commented critically how the world economy was disrupted in 1971 in move that left the dollar as the world’s measure of value for currencies compared to the gold standard practiced.
