France gets back its treasure: Picasso’s ‘La Coiffeuse’
This particular painting by Picasso has gone places before finally reaching where it rightfully belongs – France.
It was returned by U.S. Authorities to French officials on Thursday, 13th August, and is reported to be worth $15 million.
This cubist oil painting was found nine months ago in a FedEx shipment as a handicraft worth $37. It is said to have been stolen from the National Museum of Modern Arts in Pars in 2001.
After almost 15 years, ‘La Coiffeuse’ or ‘The Hairdresser’ reaches home sweet home. Finally, all is well that ends well.
