Kiren Rijiju pays tributes to chopper crash victims of Arunachal Pradesh


The Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Shri Kiren Rijiju paid tributes to Kamlesh Joshi, an IAS Officer of 2010 batch, AGMUT Cadre, who was killed in a helicopter crash in Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh on August 4, 2015.

Shri Kiren Rijiju, Shri LC Goyal, Union Home Secretary and Senior Officers of the Ministry of Home Affairs attended his cremation at Nigambodh Ghat here late this evening and laid wreaths before the cremation.


In a condolence message, Shri Rijiju recalled Joshi was a bright young officer of only 32 years of age. Since his posting in Arunachal Pradesh in 2012, he was doing commendable work and has served in an exemplary manner as Deputy Commissioner in Tirap district for the last two years, the Minister added.


The Minister also consoles the death of the two pilots of the ill-fated Pawan Hans helicopter. Shri Rijiju said that Captain MS Brar and Captain Rajeev Hoskote were proficient and brilliant pilots, possessing all professional skills and were serving the people of North-East with utmost dedication.
