Advances in cancer treatment improves Carter’s look
Former President Jimmy Carter reveled that he will undergo treatment for cancer that has spread to various parts of his body yesterday. Doctors say that despite his age, the 90-year- old may fare well thanks to recent advances in personalized medicines.
Carter told that he is suffering from cancer that has spread throughout his body but he did not say where it originated.
Recent liver surgery revealed that I have cancer that now is in other parts of my body,” Carter said in a statement released by the Carter Center. “I will be rearranging my schedule as necessary so I can undergo treatment by physicians at Emory Healthcare.”
Carter is getting warm wishes for his well being. President Obama released a statement saying “Michelle and I send our best wishes to Carter for a fast and full recovery. People from all over the world pray for Carter’s recovery.
Carter served as the 39th president of the nation. In 1982 he also founded Carter Centre in Atlanta to promote health care and democracy.
