Explosion Kills and Maims Hundreds in China
Huge explosions sparked overnight at a warehouse containing dangerous explosive materials in the North-Eastern Chinese city of Tianjin killing seventeen people and severely injuring hundreds.
The explosions were so powerful that upto 16 floors of nearby buildings could feel the shock. Nine fire fighters were also killed among the dead.
The first explosion erupted on a late Wednesday night which was followed by a second one just seconds later.
Cause of the explosion is still unidentified and the authorities and hospitals are just concentrating on the number of casualties.
