“HELLO…SPACE STATION?”

“HELLO…SPACE STATION?”

To 52 year old Adrian Lane’s utter surprise, astronauts aboard the International Space Station responded to his call when he tried contacting them from the backyard of his house.

“HELLO...SPACE STATION?”

Lane, a radio operator, had learnt weeks ago that ISS would cross his path from up above and he spent all that time planning the perfect moment when he could talk directly to astronauts miles above in the outer space.

“HELLO...SPACE STATION?”

He was greeted with a voice that said, “Receiving you…welcome aboard International Space Station”. Overwhelmed by the voice, Lane asked what the stars looked like from up above and how the Earth looked to them. He got his answers after which the phone disconnected.

“HELLO...SPACE STATION?”

In a fifty second call, Adrian Lane must have summed up an entire eternity of pride.
