30 Thousand Flamingos saved in Mumbai
In the heart of Mumbai steps have been taken to recognize the Thane Creek Flamingo Sanctuary as a wildlife sanctuary. It is home to more than 30 Thousand Flamingos.
It is a connected with mangroves and mudflats to other areas of the creek, which are already notified as marine protected areas.
The ecosystem will be monitored for discharge of effluents, dumping of sewage and other biotic interferences would be analyzed.
