74% bystanders are unlikely to assist a seriously injured person on the road. On Indian roads, the cry for help is left to deaf ears. It is those crucial minutes that can save the victims life.
However as witnessed time and again it, usually it is the good samaritan who ends up in trouble with the Police, and subsequently has to spend years going to courts.
However a Law has just been passed in India, that offers protection to those who come forward to help accident victims. They will not be held liable after acknowledging a victim was brought by them.
