IT’S NO MORE OF SATs AT GWU!
IT’S NO MORE OF SATs AT GWU!
A breath of sigh and relief will gush through aspiring applicants of the George Washington University. GWU, one of the most prestigious and elite colleges in the United States has decided to do away with SAT scores of students and scrap them as a criterion to select students applying for it.
The standardized test scores are no more mandatory for students to crack, i.e. if you do not want to take an SAT, then simply don’t! GWU will judge the academic capabilities through your GPAs and previous academic records.
One of the main reasons why the university has made this major shift is because they are hopeful of increasing the influx of student admissions this year. They are eyeing at the lesser income sections and those who are usually left out every year.
Also, it’s not just GW which has taken this step. Almost 40 more schools have set the optional SATs and it looks like a boon for students to ease out some post finals pressure.
