1. Dhanachuli –
This is the best place to visit if you wish to savor natural beauty. It is just that fairytale like setting that you always read of in books. The raindrops will be tender and just the amount you need in. Its sunsets will leave you refreshed and wandering in its apple orchards will instill peace and calm like none other.
2. Barog-
Wishing to sit by a lake and take in the serenity of the place and soak in colours blue and green? Barog then is perfect. Also, being only 300 Kms away from Delhi, it can serve as an offbeat weekend getaway for Delhiites.
3. Shillong-
Shillong receives the heaviest rainfall in monsoons and has a plethora of natural beauty to experience in every nook and cranny. From hills to valleys to waterfalls, Shillong has it all.
4. Darjeeling –
Also called the Queen of Hills, it receives abundant rainfalls. When in Darjeeling, do go rafting and trekking. Don’t forget to try the cable cars and oh yes, its teas. You can also catch some rare species of animals here – one-horned rhinoceros, Indian leopard, hog deer and endangered red pandas.
5. Manesar –
The closest getaway to Delhi, being only 43Km away, Manesar is the perfect combination of natural beauty and adventure. It is bliss in monsoons. Also, you can catch some migratory birds.
6. Lonavala –
Greenery, waterfalls, ponds – Lonavala is love. The perfect getaway for those in Maharashtra, it has something to offer to adventure lovers too.
7. Okhla Bird Sanctuary-
A photographer’s paradise in Monsoons, it is only 15 Km away from Delhi. You should not miss this. This is as refreshing as it gets.
8. Kasauli –
This is one of the rare unspoiled places where you should go to simply relax. Go there to experience nature at its best, not if you are a shopaholic.
9. Bhimtal –
This isn’t just another hill station. It has breathtaking views, greenery and wildlife. Its less known and less visited, so if you are looking to get away from human company, this is perfect.
10.Nahan-
235 Kms away from Delhi, it is serene, tranquil with picturesque landscapes and will prove to be the best break from the noise of city life.
