Asian Roots Spa celebrated bond of Mother-daughter
On a soothing evening in the capital, Mrs Ratan Kaul, and Leher Sethi, celebrated Mothers and daughters bond, in partnership with Cutty Sark and Sixth Element, at the splendid Asian Roots Spa, which was also the venue partner for the event.
The event to felicitated mom achievers from different walks of life and Her Excellency Mrs. Darja Bavdaz-Kuret, Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia and Philanthropist Ms. Aruna Oswal were the Chief Guests for the event, whereas Mrs. Shabnam Singh and Shazia Ilmi were Guests of Honour.
Some of the mother-daughter duos to be felicitated were Chess Champion Tania Sachdev and her mother Anju; Vandy Mehra, Director – Study by Janak and her daughter Aanchal; Kaushalya Reddy and daughter Bhavana; Bharti and Ishika Taneja; Sandhya Bajaj and designer Preeti Ghai; and Veena and Naina Aggarwal, to name a few. Also, the exciting section was when each pair was questioned about their partner through which the bond became more evident for audience.
Mrs. Ratan Kaul, Vice President of ICHR, an autonomous body that has been working for the welfare of society for over two decades, felicitated the chief guests as well guest of honour and it was followed by a demo, and talk, on various cosmetic techniques by specialists from Asian Roots Spa.
Leher Sethi, who was also the Master of the Ceremony this evening, said, “Motherhood is a major learning curve. One minute you’re pregnant and the next you’re a feeding, swaddling, diapering, soothing machine. At the same time, you’re way out of your depth, struggling to navigate a stormy sea of new emotions. The emotional hurdles of motherhood are not easy.”

Other highlights included a lucky draw, the winners of which snagged beauty and fashion gift hampers. Asian Roots also arranged for some makeover and nail art sessions to pamper all the ladies present at the do. The guests thoroughly enjoyed pairing the smooth Cutty Sark scotch whisky with healthy and nutritious finger-foods.
