Ministry of MSME signs MoU with Samsung Digital Academy
Today Samsung India and Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Government of India, signed a MoU to launch MSME- Samsung Digital Academy to train and develop skills of young students in Tizen OS Platform. The students will be trained to develop applications that will run on the Tizen OS across a multitude of devices such as smartphones, televisions and tablets.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Amarendra Sinha, Special Secretary & Development Commissioner, MSME and Mr. HyunWoo Bang, Senior Vice President, Samsung India Electronics, at an event in New Delhi. The institute would be set up in 10 different states wherein one month of training would be given to the students subscribing for the course. The strength of the class would be 30 and the candidate who would do really well will have the opportunity to get job in Samsung itself.

The curriculum of the course would be designed by Samsung Research Institutes in Delhi and Bangalore. With theory and lab-based training, the students would not only be introduced to Tizen platform but also Tizen app development process, testing and debugging, device Application Program Interface (APIs) as well as packaging and installation of designed apps on various devices.
The trainees would be provided with Tizen Software Development Kit as well as Samsung Z1 phones, which are the first product of Samsung to adopt Tizen Software, for testing purposes.
