Rajan S Matthew spoke about how next year 4G would be seen in action and emphasised on the fact that Indian telecom distribution can become way better than what it is right now. Further adding to it he said that there is no problem in starting up with 4G but it has to become Indian user friendly. The audience also got to know the fact that how India is lagging in terms of advancement because at the point where we are thinking about introducing 4G spectrum even after knowing only 20% of the population has adopted 3G, the rest of the world (developed nations) is talking about 5G.

As the event progressed, Amaresh Sawant, Sales Head Telecom (West), India F5 Network, spoke about how with advancement in technology comes the threat. “Everyone is focussing and talking about advancement but not looking at the threats. 4G would be much prone to cyber attacks as compared to 3G. One needs constant addressal on end-user security, network security and signalling security”. However as the event progressed one also got informed that 4G might not suit the kind of consumer environment India has because we cannot have two devices- one for data and one for voice and 4G for now is not ready with VoIP efficient services.
