The world has accepted Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India to be a fabulous orator. He speaks in his mother tongue and people feel mesmerized when they hear him. Apart from him, all the prominent leaders across the globe speak in their own native language, then why do we shy to express ourselves in the language in which we are comfortable?

If we talk about India, it seems that English has become a new caste system in here. The trend of not speaking in Hindi is really catching up in the metropolitans cities. People find it boring if you speak in Hindi. In schools, students are charged a fine if they speak in Hindi. I want to ask why?

1. Thanks to all English coaching classes that promise people fluent English in just 15 days!
2. All the schools authorities who charge fine for not speaking in English.
3. Thanks to you all those who laugh on others when someone replies in Hindi.
4. Thanks to all the show-offs, who themselves don’t know correct English but would keep correcting others.
5. Thanks to all Human Resource Management companies who will simply chuck you out from the list if you don’t speak in English.

English is a beautiful language and of course, globally accepted language but that doesn’t mean that simply not knowing it, stoops your level down. When the youth of our country are taking a stand on every small issue then why not raise this concern for our language?

We know what to do and how to do, then why can’t we simply speak in our language that is more comfortable for us to speak?

Being an individual who is aware of the surroundings, let’s keep it simple and live the way we want! Remember, if you stick to your language, your thoughts can never be the slaves of others.

On this note, I will leave you here and would make it completely your decision. So, what do you think?
