BML Munjal University launched new course for MBA
Founded by The Hero Group, Brij Mohan Lal Munjal University (BMU) is launching a two-year full-time MBA programme in ‘Accounting and Finance’ with a focus on Forensic Accounting and Corporate Fraud. The course is one of its kinds in India and will focus on training the aspirants for highly skilled and specialized jobs. The need was recognized looking at the lack of having trained contender instead of the fact that the corporate market was in need of people in the fraud investigation sector.

This course opens up new fields for the students of commerce, CA, ICWA, CS and allied areas, especially for those who don’t want to be into the clichéd path of careers. Apart from that, as a part of the course the students would have the opportunity to get hands on experience by working on fraud investigations, large anti-money laundering and regulatory remediation, and on fraud prevention projects. Students will also be provided with real world challenges by some of the biggest consulting and advisory organizations for project experience.
Commenting on the same, Dr. Tapan Panda (Dean, School of Management) said, “I am confident that our new MBA programme will help in building a proficient army of professionals who can combat corporate fraud at every level. The course will impart skills scientifically, but also in a manner that prepares students for the dynamic challenges of the industry, is this area. The focus is on relevance, and actual work skills, which is what makes the course invaluable for corporate fraud investigation aspirants.”

The programme structure is spread into four parts/courses:
Core courses: This aims at helping students in grasping theory and business fundamentals/
Skill Courses: This aims at equipping the students to acquire a range of life skills needed to be successful at the workplace such as- communication, presentation, leadership and so on.
Perspective courses: This aims at helping students in dealing with all problems in the field. It involves contextualize problems and acquire a better understanding of the core.

Elective courses: This course helps the students in opting for subject that they would want to expertise in.
Later on in the second year of the programme the students would have to choose a specialization amongst the six career specializations – Forensic Accounting, Chartered Accounting, Individual Financial Planning, Investment Banking, Forex, Treasury, and Risk Management, Management Accounting- depending on their interest.

• Entrance exam score (CAT, MAT, XAT, GMAT, CMAT or ATMA)
• Work experience is preferred but not a compulsion

• Second year: 4.75 Lakhs
• Total: 9.25 Lakhs
