Humans of Surajkund
The Suraj Kund Crafts Mela 2015- a fort-night long festival celebrated every year is famed to be one of the major platforms for promoting art, music and culture of not only our country but of the neighboring nations as well.
Chhattisgarh has been chosen as the theme state for this year and one could feel the vibrancy and the folk art of the place all throughout the place. One could hear drum beats and people dancing on the rustic tunes of their cultures still preserved in the forests of Bastar. Be it Panchi, Chiatra or Rawat Nach, you are enchanted and forced to look at them enjoying the tunes.

The food court will tickle your taste buds. Try the Lebanese Food Stall out there and you will fall in love with it. The local cuisine of Chhattisgarh and other states is also present there to win over your hearts.
The entire festival is divided season wise. The decorations will leave you awed. Certain handicrafts are completely out the box, for instance a stall with artifacts made from sea shells was brilliant. Another quirky stall seen was by the Delhi based artist Ajay Kumar Samir who made special artwork inspired by Narendra Modi’s poems.
So here’s a glimpse of the vibrancy of the festival which will definitely make you pay a visit to the festival.
