Terminator Genisys Trailer Out!

The fifth installment of the Terminator series is all set for release in July, 2015. Directed by Alan Taylor, the film reprises the role of Arnold Schwarzenegger as the T-800. Set in the year 2029, the trailer opens to the city of Los Angeles. Sarah Conner played by the ‘Games of Throne’ star Emilia Clark, orphaned at the age of nine, has been raised by a terminator, Schwarzenegger, who has been programmed to protect her and trains her to face her destiny. John Connor, played by Jason Clarke, is the leader of the resistant against the machines and presumes an attack from both the fronts past and the future. This attack would change the scenario of warfare forever.

From the trailer it seems the film is trying to evoke nostalgia from certain scenes like the final shot of Schwarzenegger gazing at his robotic hand and the famous dialogue “I’ll be back”. A sense of mystery and intrigue about the Judgment Day is created from the spectacular shots in the trailer. Fans are divided on their opinions about this upcoming Terminator installment, where on the one hand, some are excited to see what’s new and different this time, while others are skeptical about it saying that scenes look rip offs of other sci-fi films like X-Men and Star Trek and that the film might just be a disappointment.

“Terminator has been the fantasy item of every sci-fi fan and has managed to exceed expectations of many on several occasions. This time with Arnold Schwarzenegger back on the scene, it seems like this will be one of the best terminators”, says Rohan Kapoor, an excited Terminator fan.
