DhruvBedi, the son of Shri Jagdeep Singh Bedi, gave a mesmerizing performance at the India International Centre Annexe Building.

Dhruv is trained by Pandit Buddha Dheet Mukherjee following the tradition of Guru-Shishyaparampara. Dhruv has an exceptional and natural ability to play the GayakiAnga i.e. the vocal style on sitar.He has collaborated with musicians from various genres of music including Carnatic classical musicians, Jazz musicians and with musician from Korea, Russia and Scotland.

He has an intuitive and spontaneous approach to the music he plays. He was awarded the prestigious National Scholarship under Cultural Talent Search Scholarship scheme by CCRT in the field of Hindustani Music.

Sambhunath Bhattacharya

Dhruvhas also performed at the Asian Music Conference in South Korea in 2005. He was the youngest artist to present India there. At the age of 16,Dhruv gave a solo performance at the Rajiv Smarak on the occasion of the death anniversary of the Late Rajiv Gandhi.


Dhruv has also played for All India Radio. In 2007, he was approved by AIR to play Hindustani Music in the Instrumentcategory. A few months back,Dhruv performed at the famous Silk Route Festival in Azerbaijan representing India. In August he was invited to Russia where he performed in various major cities including Moscow, St. Pittsburgh, and Kazanetc. He has also performed at the Kurutusha Music Festival and collaborated with many Russian musicians.
