Shadows

Shadows

With that glisten in your eyes
My heart and world collide
I finally thought I could
Change all that , I knew I would

You shone like a star
In a world filled with dark
I counted on you to take me away
from my misery and pain

You’d keep me awake
Trying to protect me always
Seclude me from the nightmares
From shadows down the hallways

Now when I look back
Upon the days of past
I find all i lack
All the shadows I cast

You seem so far away
So distant , almost inexistant
And I am burdened by this guilt
Bound for eternity in this quilt

When you lose all the you hold dear
in a single moment without a shed of tear
The glisten in your eye
Is all i fear

Oh dear
Even the winds are too strong now
Like blows of hurricane
Enough to make me fall.

Death seems like an answer
Though it’s no solution
For I’m haunted at my soul
It’s no illusion..

Now when I look back
Upon the days of past
I find all I lack
All the shadows I cast…
