“We all have been watching our currency falling down, but the only thing that has become very accessible is technology. Unlike before, people are using much more data, clicking pictures, downloading songs and videos, sending texts etc. which would require you to have storage, so in this tablet we have introduced cloud with no limit to storage space. We have created a single platform for users to do everything just at one place; one would be able to send and receive data from different systems on the tab and can do the same. We have erased the difference between work and play and have challenged the connectivity problems and the problem of working offline.
It is alright if you have multiple email accounts but sometimes your kids or other family member would like to use your tab and you would need to hide some confidential mails, so the tab enables you to do so,” says Ram Narayan Iyer, Group Director- Retail, Sales and Marketing for Microsoft India.
Further speaking on the processor used in tablet, Amit Gupta, the Director of Intel Asia Pacific said, “We met Ravi six months back and he had a vision of creating this tablet. We started and it was a huge project. This year has been amazing for tablets. We have always been expected to work in a better way and create an amazing computing experience for the consumers. People ask us why we do only processors for which the answer is that consumers want to do N number of things on a single platform which pushes us to create processors which can support such activities. We were always committed to provide the best and so we are here again fulfilling the expectations with this collaboration and more products would be coming up.”
The tablet would also provide adaptive learning online courses with Flipick for higher education and competitive exams’ like CAT, JEE, AIPMT, Banking and CPT. The course content includes interactive reading material, recorded video lectures, animations, and formative assessments enable the student to identify areas of his or her strength and weakness. Pearson Education which is one of the world’s biggest education companies would be provided the course material.
