Mystery Behind Hair Fall And Hair Growth
Mystery behind hair fall and hair growth
Hair fall is quite a common phenomenon these days. However, one cannot be sure of the reasons behind it. Also, if we are losing some hair from required places, then we are also gaining some at unwanted places and the reason is still unknown. So, One World News along with Dr. Shehla Aggarwal (Dermatologist) presents to you the reasons behind both:
Hair is indicative of one’s health and the reason of hair fall could be many, some of them are: anemia, dieting, thyroid, typhoid, stress, post-pregnancy etc. Before giving a treatment one should know the reason behind it as after two months of having a chronic illness, one would face hairfall for a certain period of time. The new hair starts forming in duration of 2 months but when the new hair doesn’t get any space it starts pushing the old one hence leading to hair fall.
Post pregnancy: During pregnancy the estrogens are high so after the pregnancy because of estrogen falling down, the hair starts falling.
Dandruff makes the roots of hair unstable and when the skin starts flaking, the hair starts falling. Skin gets renewed in every 30 days but if the time period changes to 7 days then one can have excess flaking of skin leading to hair fall. Dry cells can lead to fungal infection. However, dandruff is treatable with shampoo as they have ZPTO anti-fungal which helps in cleaning the scalp.
Oiling the scalp: When skin releases excess of oil one can have pimples. Few parts of our body, like face, cheeks, upper arms, upper back and head have sebaceous glands which are responsible for excretion of oil. These glands are active in teenage so hence in teenage they produce acne. It is similar with hair, one should not let the oil accumulate on the scalp and instead should apply oil on strands. Regular hair wash in advisable and one should change their products every month as the preservatives after a period of time stops showing any results on the scalp. The same goes for skin as well, use soaps according to the weather- like glycerin for winters and anti-biotic for summers.
Moisturizing Hair: Your skin is the best responder for everything that it needs. We usually use lotion for summers and cream for winters but which one to use? Well, brands have no role in here, consider the contents and decide what to go for. The skin gives signals to make you understand what is approved or not approved for it, so learn to read the signals. For hair, since one have too many options to choose from, it is important to consider the kind of scalp you have. The content of moisturizers in a normal hair conditioner would be more as compared to oily hair; it is advisable for everyone to use normal hair conditioner.
Diet: When it comes to diet, a protein rich diet should be taken for a healthy and glowy skin. Nuts are the best nourishment food for skin and one helping of fruit everyday will keep up the micro-nutrient contents in skin. Since protein for veggies is not easy to find, it is suggested to have a complete meal of soya once in a week.
Fair Hair: One has vellus hair (which are dark hair) and terminal hair (which are light hair). When in females the ovary releases multiple ovums then more of hormones are released because of which at the secondary sexual areas the hair starts growing. This hair is the terminal hair which turns darker. The best way to get rid of them is to wax. Using hair removal cream is not advisable as it takes away the protein of the skin along with the peeling off the hair. If you want to shave then keep in mind to use shaving creams and not opt for dry shave. Do not wax Vellus hair as it can lead to infection.
So, we hope now you would be able to detect the reasons behind why and what makes you hair fall and why it grows on unwanted areas. For any further details on skin, feel free to contact Dr. Shehla Aggarwal at 9910763773.
