Oriflame being one of the biggest brands in the industry, having direct selling of around 2.6 million consultancies in India itself, is amongst the very few companies who have 95% female employment, making women more independent, confident and empowered. On the occasion, Niklas Frisk said, “I have seen women growing stronger every day. I have toured around the world and have found that women are much better than men, not saying that men are behind but still. However, there are many who are still caught up in-between the four walls of their home. It is important for them to understand that nothing is impossible for them. Women need to keep themselves above others and should trust that they have the calibre to fulfil the dreams they really believe in.”

Adding further Frisk says, “As far as convincing the parents is concerned, I think parents who are concerned about their daughters should talk to other parents who are associated with us. It is a matter of pride for me to be able to meet these people and make them experience the change Oriflame has made in the lives of women and their families.”

For Frisk, it is indeed a proud moment to meet people making a living by selling Orifame products in foreign countries. “Selling products of Oriflame needs no investment and has no risk. You earn the income and stand on your own feet, but for that one has to move out of their comfort zones and believe in oneself.”

A woman, especially in India, has to take care of many things. They hardly get any say and are hardly informed about their rights. Women are not even sent to schools because they are just liabilities for their parents. However, in such scenarios Geeta Phogat and her father come out as an inspiration. Geeta Phogat, who became the first ever women wrestler to qualify for the Olympics from India, narrated to the audience her success story and the struggle of emerging from a Haryana Village where even moving out after dark was a big issue.

Geeta ended her story by saying, “My family was always scared that I would not get married because of having a manly physique but my father’s dream was to see us doing something really big and make him proud. It is because of him that I and my siblings are here. It is true that if you have your family’s support then anything can happen in this world and also you have to keep faith in yourself to push through hard-times and keep the patience to taste success.”

Nasir Abdullah cited on how we are given instructions on smoking being dangerous for health and so on but never have we been taught about how spoiling a woman’s life or not giving her the respect she deserves would spoil not only a life but an entire family. “People have to start respecting women, not just your wife, girlfriend, mother or sister. We have to nurture our brain in a way, so that we treat and protect every woman as the same.”

Expressing pleasure on this association with Oriflame, Huma Qureshi said, “I feel honoured to be a part of the Oriflame family and their efforts on empowering the women. As an actor, I would love to inspire people, help them and take initiative to develop a good environment. I was fortunate to have a family who helped me to do whatever I wanted to do.”

In an exclusive to One World News, Huma Qureshi quoted, “Women empowerment is very important because if you don’t give power to half of the country’s population then you are not really helping society” and adding to it, Geeta Phogat says, “In today’s scenario, it has become really important to learn self-defence.”
