Samsung has developed a new Wi-Fi technology through which a HD video can be streamed fromyour Mobile to your TV simultaneously via YouTube and high-dimension movies can be downloaded within seconds!

On 12th October2014, the South Korean Company announced that it is developing a new 801.11 ad Wi-Fi technology that can work at a speed of 4.6 Gbps from today’s 866 mbps per-device. It has the benefit of transferring files faster and getting work done on time. Through this new speed, Samsung claims that now work can be done a lot faster.

The new technology will allow data transmission speeds of up to 575 megabytes (MB) per second which is enough to transfer 1 GB movie between devices in less than three seconds.
Several attempts were made to develop this new tech. The earlier one failed because they used millimeter waves that travel by line-of-sight which means they lost signal and data when hit by obstacles such as walls. In the new technology, they have used ‘a wide-coverage –beam forming antennae’ instead of millimeter waves to solve the speed issues. The new invention will also eliminate the problem where too many signals from different smart phones and computers caused interference and hampered speed.

The working process and functioning of the technology have not been revealed by the company yet. The company has just revealed that we will get a chance to have the first look at the devices not before 2015.
This ‘No interference 60 GHz Wi-Fi’ technology will bring a new breakthrough in the Internet data communication field. It does not however, mean that all of a sudden, our internet speed will increase, as that can be controlled only by the internet service provider. It only means that faster connections can be achieved in the internal network between the devices.
