Raminder Khan addressing to us said, “Sasha is a non-profit organization. The organization’s head office and main retail store is based in Kolkata and most of its operations are handled from there. All the work that we do is mainly handwork of the women, who belong to the West Bengal’s villages. The exhibition ‘Tsutra’ is nothing but a step to promote our work, so that we can provide sustainable livelihoods to the marginalized communities. All these works are handmade and we are working with 60 craft communities. We teach them from ground level just to ensure the quality of fabric and also how to work in an ecofriendly environment. We help them with funding, design development, quality control and finally marketing. All that we are going to earn would go back to them.”

We follow the fair trade principles, like fair wages, fair ecofriendly environment, transparency etc. We use natural dyes in our clothes and we believe that the hand work is itself a way to reduce pollution.
We have collections of Sarees, Tops, Capes, stole, shawls etc. All these are very classy and the garments have a lot of detailing to it which makes it even more buyable.
Sasha also do lots of Handicraft like Dhokra art from Orissa.
Dhokra Art By Sasha
In the exhibition, the fabrics of the garments are by Sasha and they are designed by Sonam Dubal. Briefing more about it, Sonam said, “The collection is a collaborative effort of Sasha and me, here I have worked on various textiles, prints and even embroideries. This is a very special event for me because most of the prints are worked on from the very grass root level; we have used fabrics like Linins, Cottons, Crapes, Silk and have knitted beautiful stories for coming autumn winter season.
