It’s all about finding true love…

The star cast of ‘Finding Fanny’ landed from Goa to Delhi on a rainy evening to interact with its Delhi audience. Deepika Padukone with Arjun Kapoor along with Director-Homi Adajania and the producer, Dinesh Vijan made their presence in the Ambience Mall in Vasant Kunj.

Talking about the movie, Homi says, “The crux of the movie is finding the love of your life. The film is a symbolic journey which the characters undertake to find their own respective love. The word ‘Fanny’ is basically the pet name of a character-Stefanie Fernades, who is the love-interest of Naseeruddin Shah.

The idea to make such a movie came through an incident. Homi says, “There was a postman who used to deliver letters but once, he forgot to deliver one. Pondering over that, I came across an idea to make a movie on that letter, its importance and the message it might be carrying”. However, Homi claimed that none of his movies are inspiration based.

Talking about her role in the movie, Deepika says, “Though I do not relate much to my character yet I enjoyed playing it. Since, I had already acted in Homi’s movie (Cocktail) earlier, it was a beautiful experiencing working with him again”. She added, “The way I interpreted this role may vary from someone else playing the same role”.

Homi, who has already worked with Dimple Kapadia, Naseeruddin Shah and Deepika said, “There is no difference as such working with veteran actors or new comers as directing depends upon the level of communication which is different for everyone. I just observe how a person acts, reacts and understands the concept”.

The movie is a total family entertainer and is entirely shot in Goa. The hit number of the movie, ‘Shake your Bootiya’ is based on a spoof app.

Fox Star Studios and A Maddock Film presents ‘Finding Fanny’ is coming to entertain its audience on 12th September. Catch this in your nearby theatre and let us know to which character you relate to.
