Delhi's Lady Don Ziqra under scanner in Kunal's murder; locals say she rules Seelampur with guns and fear
Feared Lady Don Ziqra Accused in Teen Murder
After the vicious murder of 17-year-old Kunal Ziqra, a notorious tenant in Delhi’s Seelampur neighborhood has come under police scrutiny.
Zikqa, who is referred to as Lady Don in the neighborhood, is feared for her close ties to criminal gangs, her frequent display of firearms on social media and her open disregard for the law in public.
Locals and law enforcement sources claim that Ziqra is not only a self-contained criminal but also has ties to the criminal underworld. Zoya, the wife of gangster Hashim Baba, one of Delhi’s most prominent criminals allegedly hired her as a bouncer. She has a reputation for violence and intimidation and is said to be involved in a number of illegal activities including offenses involving guns.
Ziqra who uses the Instagram handle Lady Don has been charged with several crimes and was recently arrested under the Arms Act after sharing a video of herself brandishing a pistol.
It is alleged that she exhibited reckless behavior by continuing to create and share videos online even while in police custody and court appearances. Videos of her on social media show her holding guns and being surrounded by young men who apparently obey her orders without question.
Participation in the Murder of Seelampur
Residents and the victims family have accused Ziqra of being involved in Kunal’s murder. On Thursday night the 17-year-old was allegedly killed in what is said to have been a retaliatory attack.
An attempt to murder case was filed after Ziqras brother Sahil was beaten by members of Kunal’s community. Police are currently investigating whether this was the potential reason for Kunal’s retaliatory stabbing attack.
According to the police Zikqas involvement is still being looked into. The Seelampur police crack team detained her for interrogation but her official arrest has not yet been made public. According to authorities they are confirming whether she was at the scene of the crime.

Hindu Households Leaving Seelampur
Zikra is frequently seen with weapons and is known to lead her gang of ten to twelve boys. Some Hindu families are reportedly starting to leave areas like Seelampur Jafrabad Brahmpuri Gautampuri and Chauhan Banger because of the increased threats and intimidation brought on by her notoriety which has become so widespread that locals say they are living in fear.
In response Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated that she had discussed the case with the police commissioner and that the accused were being pursued and would soon be caught. Justice is going to be done and a formal complaint has been filed.
