More than 13000 T20 Runs

Before Kohli made himself the first Indian batter to score 13000 runs in T20 cricket, he became just the eighth player in the world to have crossed the milestone when he played an IPL match against the Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium, on April 7, 2025.

The unprecedented ICC quad

Kohli has added another achievement in June 2024, when he became the first player in the history to win 4 different ICC titles-the Under 19 World Cup, the ICC Cricket World Cup, the ICC Champions Trophy, and the ICC T20 World Cup. This very exceptionally rare achievement attests to his all-around capability and performance throughout all formats of the game. 

Cross 14,000 in ODIs

Kohli’s talent is, however, not confined to T20 cricket. During the February 2025 Champions Trophy match against Pakistan, he became the third player in the ODI history to cross 14000 runs after legends Sachin Tendulkar and Kumar Sangakkara. His century at that match went unbeaten and proved decisive in India’s six-wicket win. 

ODI centuries record

In November 2023, during the ODI World Cup, Kohli made his 50th ODI century to break the record of Sachin Tendulkar. He achieved this milestone in the semi-final against New Zealand, and that further solidified his name as one of the great players in the game.

Retirementment from T20 Internationals

After India’s victory in the T20 World Cup in June 2024, Kohli declared his retirement from T20 internationals. He left the game with an outstanding figure of 4188 runs in 125 matches in T20I cricket.
