His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, has announced the birth of his fourth child and first daughter, named Hind bint Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum. The name “Hind” serves as a personal tribute to his mother, Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, indicating the importance of the matriarch to the family.   .
Crown Prince Hamdan, known to the world affectionately as “Fazza,” had previously welcomed a boy, Mohammed in February 2023, and twin daughter and son duo, Rashid and Sheikha, this past May. Now, baby Hind has added yet another layer to the royal family, bringing happiness both to the family, and the people of Dubai.  .
Arabic roots make the name ‘Hind’ quite deep from a cultural and historical viewpoint. It has stood for strength and abundance in the past, prosperity, and the heritage of the Arab nation. 
Sheikh Hamdan’s announcement came through his official account on Instagram. He poured out a prayer for his newly-born daughter, gave thanks, and asked for blessings regarding her future. He is very active on social media and gives glimpses into his life as a leader, sportsperson, and family man. 
The birth of Hind has seen congratulatory messages pour in from citizens and well-wishers across the world. The joy has been shared and wished well by the people of Dubai and the United Arab Emirates to their Crown Prince and his family, in honor of their new addition to the royal lineage.
Public interest has revolved around the Crown Prince’s private life. Outside royal duties, he is famed for adventure and some of the activities he takes part in include equestrian sports, skydiving, and scuba diving. The poetry following from this persona published under the pen name ‘Fazza’ is romantic and patriotic in feeling and resonates well with his follower base.
