Nick Jonas Opens Up About Fatherhood: How Daughter Malti Sees Him Only as “Dad” Despite His Global Fame

Nick Jonas, the global superstar, mezzo-soprano, and actor, is, however, just “Dad” to his little daughter Malti Marie. While the 32-year-old singer recently shared fatherhood stories with his wife, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, he at the JONASCON, where the two-and-a-half year old baby is celebrated.

As much as Jonas is famous throughout the world, nothing seems to count when it comes to Malti. He gave JONASCON attendees a glimpse into his current fatherhood adventures. “The best part about being a dad for me and balancing things like this work stuff-and this is hardly work-is that you could feel like your coolest self on top of the world. And she just doesn’t care at all,” he laughed.

For Malti, it’s all about playtime with Dad, and Jonas wouldn’t have it any other way. “She wants to play Moana and Maui with me, and that means more to me than anything else. That time with her is precious, the fact that I’m just ‘Dad’ when I’m home,” he said.

Recently, Jonas gave adorable insights into his life as a”girl-dad.” He posted a selfie wearing one of Malti’s hair bows with a flower clip, surrounded by pink balloons. “Girl dad life” was the caption.

Moana seems oblivious to her father’s fame, while another Jonas family member is starting to comprehend it. Kevin Jonas, Nick’s older brother, said his 11-year-old daughter Alena has begun to understand what it means to have a famous daddy.

“Clout is starting to happen with my older one,” Kevin shared. “She’s like, ‘Dad, can I get my own box to invite my friends to the show on the 10th?'” he added, referring to the Jonas Brothers’ upcoming JONAS20: Living the Dream Tour, which kicks off on August 10 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

Kevin laughed as he answered Alena, saying, “I’ll see what I can do for you, babe.” He further appreciated his children: “Proud to be their dad number one. But the fact they are proud of me and us, that’s great.”

Nick and Kevin are finding a fresh perspective on the world through fatherhood. Their careers may be flourishing, but the two most important roles will always remain within the four walls of their homes, where they are simply “Dad.”
