Tanmay Bhat Claps Back at Fan Criticizing Him for Not Taking a Stand in India’s Got Latent Controversy

Tanmay Bhat has finally spoken on the recent controversy around fellow comedian Samay Raina’s show, India’s Got Latent. Samay, widely regarded as Tanmay’s protégé, was in the limelight after YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia went ahead and made a malicious joke on his show last month. The controversy resulted in legal issues and public outrage, with several FIRs being filed against Ranveer and Samay.

Tanmay Bhat Reacts to Criticism

Tanmay posts reaction videos to trending memes on a regular basis on his YouTube channel. In a recent video, a fan asked him why he was not ‘taking a stand’ for Samay and Ranveer in the midst of the controversy. To this, Tanmay replied, “How come these people are not taking a stand for everything that’s happening? ” His fellow comedian and ex-AIB member, Rohan Joshi, was also present on the panel and added, “We are literally here doing our job.

Kaustubh, another panellist who is a comedian, jokingly called Tanmay Samay’s mentor and said, “Aapko bol rahe hain. Aap the uske (Samay) godfather…” pointing to the expectation that Tanmay has to stand up for Samay.
