Amitabh Bachchan Finally Breaks Silence on Retirement Rumors, Says ‘Humko Kaam Par Jaane Ka Samay Aagaya Hai’ on Kaun Banega Crorepati 16!

Amitabh Bachchan recently caused social media to go into a tizzy with a cryptic message that read, “Time to go.” The message immediately generated buzz, with the fans speculating whether the great actor was referring to his retirement from acting and Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC). Others thought that the message was health-related and generated an avalanche of worry online.

With growing curiosity, Twitter and Instagram were flooded with requests for an explanation. Fans could not imagine the Shahenshah of Bollywood leaving the film industry. The suspense was eventually ended in the recent episode of KBC 16 when Amitabh Bachchan addressed the speculations himself in his characteristic tongue-in-cheek manner.

In one promo of the show, Bachchan was heard making a lighthearted remark with one of the contestants who had asked him to dance. The comedy king, well known for his sense of humour, grinned and said, “Kaun nachega? Arre bhai sahab, naachne ke liye yahan nahi rakha hai humko!” His one-liner sent the audience in fits.

The conversation soon turned to his hit tweet. A fan eagerly inquired about the significance of “Time to go.” Remaining true to his tongue-in-cheek nature, Big B chuckled and replied, “Usmein ek line tha jaane ka samay hai… toh usmein kuch gadbadi hai kya?” His lighthearted comment immediately put the room at ease.

Another spectator asked cheekily, “Kahan jaane hai?” To which the superstar, showing his characteristic humour, teased, “Jaane ka samay aagaya hai matlab…” But before he could complete what he was going to say, the whole studio chimed together, shouting out, “Aap yahan se kahin nahi jaa sakte!”

At long last, sending all the gossips down the drain, Bachchan showed the world what his tweet actually meant. “Arre bhai sahab, humko kaam par jaane ka samay aagaya hai… gajab baat karte ho yaar!” He told us how his late working hours at times result in late-night tweets. “Aur raat ko jab 2 baje yahan se chhutti milti hai, toh ghar pahuchte-pahuchte 1-2 baj jaate hain.

Woh likhte-likhte humko neend aa gayi, toh woh wahin tak reh gaya… Jaane ka waqt aur hum so gaye!” With this, the iconic actor had his fans convinced—retirement is far from the picture, and he remains very much devoted to his line of work!
