On the Raw Talks With VK podcast, he had an open and candid conversation on the breakup. He made sure to mention the importance of respect and privacy while discussing such sensitive matters.
The couple had gotten married in 2017. However, the two parted ways in 2021. According to Naga Chaitanya, they separated after due deliberation and realized that both of them had their respective reasons for it. “We wanted to go our own ways. For our own reasons, we have taken this decision and we respect each other. We are moving on in our lives, in our own way,” he shared, urging the audience and media to respect their privacy. Chaitanya expressed his frustration over how their personal lives had become fodder for public gossip, highlighting how such situations often overshadow the emotional gravity of the matter.

The actor made it clear that despite their divorce, both he and Samantha have continued to move forward with dignity. “I’ve moved on with so much grace. She has moved on with so much grace. We are leading our own lives, Chaitanya said, smiling as he claimed that he was happy again. He also went on to praise Samantha, stating that he has the utmost respect for her and wishes the public would understand it as well. “We have so much respect for each other,” he reiterated.
Reflecting on the importance of the decision, Naga Chaitanya said it wasn’t an easy choice for him, especially considering his own background. “I come from a broken family. I’m a child from a broken family, so I know what the experience is like. I will think 1000 times before breaking a relationship because I know the repercussions,” he shared. This deep understanding of the emotional weight of such decisions made him approach the separation with caution and sensitivity.
Although Chaitanya said he felt sadness over the end of the marriage, he also emphasized the need for personal growth and believed everything happens for a reason. “It was for the betterment of whoever was involved in the marriage… Everything happens for a reason.”. You build yourself, you keep progressing and you will find the right path soon. That’s happened to me,” he stated, signaling that despite the pain, he has moved forward and found happiness.
As for public judgment, Naga Chaitanya questioned the harshness he was given. He said, “It is not that this is happening in my life; so why do I have to be treated like a criminal?” With this, he reminded the audience to come to terms with the situation by being understanding and empathetic with both parties that are on this journey of moving on.
This will be Chaitanya’s words, which give a complexity to the humanity that exists in personal relationships, challenging the public’s response to celebrity lives.
