Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Indian government unveiled a comprehensive plan to build ropeway systems which will connect Amarnath cave shrine in Jammu and Kashmir with the Sabarimala temple in Kerala. The initiative focuses on achieving better accessibility combined with reduced congestion to create a superior pilgrimage experience for all the millions who visit.
Through these proposed ropeways pilgrims will enjoy quickened cross-country transportation and better safety while experiencing greater ease on their journey. The recently proposed 3.5 kilometer Amarnath ropeway system will eliminate a substantial section of the difficult mountain journey to the Amarnath cave shrine. The Sabarimala ropeway system establishes a connection between the Pamba base camp and the temple complex thereby reducing travelers’ trekking distance as well as time requirements.
