Recently, in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Urvashi clarified the situation, stating that the leak was intentional and done with her consent. She revealed that the decision was based on the financial struggles faced by the makers of the film and their aim to raise awareness about women’s safety.
Why the Scene Was Leaked
Reflecting on the incident, Urvashi described Ghuspaithiya as an exceptional project but admitted that the production was plagued by financial challenges. According to the actress, the makers approached her in desperation, explaining that they were on the brink of financial collapse. “They were in debt and struggling with loans,” she shared. “They even risked losing their land and were on the verge of being out on the streets.”
She revealed that the filmmakers had a word with her team, including her business manager, before asking for her consent. The actress said, “They asked for my permission, explaining that it was just a scene from the movie. It wasn’t something we had done outside of the film. They wanted to release it early, not only to create buzz but also as a way to spread awareness, especially for women to be cautious.”

Urvashi emphasized the dual purpose behind the leak. While it served as a promotional strategy for the financially struggling film, it was also meant to highlight safety concerns for women. About the Movie Ghuspaithiya
Ghuspaithiya is a crime thriller directed by Susi Ganesan. This is the Hindi version of Thiruttu Payale 2 (2017) – a Tamil film. The movie cast includes Urvashi Rautela, Vineet Kumar Singh, Govind Namdev, and Akshay Oberoi. It released theatrically on August 9, 2024. Though there was something exciting about its script and good performance, it really faced the hardships of production at the box office, such as severe financial strain.

Beyond Ghuspaithiya, Urvashi was recently seen in the action-packed film Daaku Maharaaj.
