The victim woman claimed harassment by her uncle, but did not detail how it turned out to be so serious to drive her to the extreme of committing suicide. She said her uncle, Praveen Singh, was having private and intimate videos of hers.

The tragic incident was reported on January 12 after Suhasi reportedly set herself ablaze outside a hotel in the Kundalahalli area after 8 pm. Preliminary reports claim that she used petrol for the purpose. The incident has called for stern action against harassment and abuse.
Local authorities have confirmed that Praveen Singh has been arrested in connection with the case. He is accused of being the primary reason for Suhasi’s distress, leading her to take this extreme step. The two had reportedly met at the hotel in an attempt to resolve the issue. However, the situation spiraled into tragedy.
In the course of their investigations, police found a pen drive from Praveen Singh’s possession.
