Saif Ali Khan Undergoes Surgery After Stabbing Incident at His Residence

Saif Ali Khan stabbed in Bandra home burglary attempt, undergoes surgery, police launch investigation

Mumbai: Actor Saif Ali Khan is recovering after being stabbed during an attempted burglary at his Bandra residence late last night. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital around 3:30 am, where doctors confirmed he had suffered six stab wounds, two of which were deep and near his spine.  

Dr. Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, stated that Saif underwent surgery performed by a team of specialists, including neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Dange, cosmetic surgeon Dr. Leena Jain, and anesthesiologist Dr. Nisha Gandhi. He is currently stable, and the hospital is closely monitoring his recovery.  

Following the incident, Mumbai Police and the Crime Branch launched an extensive investigation. Three attendants working at Saif’s house are being questioned. The Crime Branch has formed seven teams, with some scanning CCTV footage, while others are conducting searches across Mumbai and beyond to track the suspect.  

Saif’s team issued a statement confirming the incident and urged fans and media to refrain from speculating. “There was an attempted burglary at Mr. Saif Ali Khan’s residence. He is currently in the hospital undergoing surgery. It’s a police matter, and we will keep you updated on the situation,” the statement read.  

Kareena Kapoor Khan’s team also reassured fans about the family’s safety. “There was an attempted burglary at Saif and Kareena’s residence last night. Saif sustained an injury on his arm and is undergoing a procedure at the hospital. The rest of the family is fine. We request patience and understanding as the police investigate the matter,” their statement read.  

The Crime Branch has deployed seven teams for the investigation. One team is analyzing CCTV footage, while others have left for various parts of Mumbai and nearby areas in search of the suspect.  

The police and hospital authorities are working together to ensure Saif’s safety and to bring the attacker to justice. As the inquiry develops, more information will be released.Fans and well-wishers continue to send prayers for the actor’s speedy recovery.
