Allu Arjun, a Telugu superstar, has expressed his profound sadness at the loss of a fan after a stampede at the Sandhya Theatre during the launch of his most recent movie, Pushpa 2: The Rule. When a sizable crowd gathered in Hyderabad on December 4th in hopes of seeing the actor, mayhem broke out. Arjun was named as one of the offenders in a case made by the relatives of a woman who died in the stampede.
Arjun, who was arrested in connection with the case on Friday, was initially sent to 14-day judicial custody. However, he was granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court and released on Saturday. Hours after his release, the actor addressed the media from his residence in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad.
Speaking to reporters, Arjun extended his condolences to the family of the deceased and assured them of his support. “We’re extremely sorry for the family, and I will personally support them in whatever way I can. This incident is purely accidental,” he said.

The actor clarified that he was inside the theatre with his family at the time of the incident, and the stampede occurred outside. “I have been to Sandhya Theatre over 30 times in the last 20 years, and nothing like this has ever happened before. It is truly unfortunate,” Arjun stated. He emphasized that the tragedy was unintentional and beyond his control.
The actor also acknowledged the overwhelming support he received from fans and the media during this difficult time. Dressed in a white t-shirt bearing his title Icon Star,r Arjun reiterated his commitment to helping the affected family and ensuring such incidents are prevented in the future.
The stampede occurred when Arjun arrived at the theatre with co-star Rashmika Mandanna and his wife, Sneha Reddy, to promote the film. The crowd’s excitement turned chaotic, leading to the tragic accident.
Arjun’s statement comes as the investigation into the incident continues. He stressed his willingness to cooperate with authorities and expressed hope for justice and healing for the grieving family.
