*Applicants interested in using the old applications systems should note the dates the old systems will expire.
*Applicants who hold an ordinary passport are allowed to make applications at accredited visa processing offices until 16 December 2024.
*Applicants with diplomatic or official passports must apply personally at the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate-General by 24 December 2024.
Visa Fee – Non-Refundable
The Embassy warned that no refund would be made regardless of circumstances, visa fees will not be paid back to anyone. Therefore applicants must verify and ensure all the documentations before submitting any applications.
60-Day Visa Exemption Still Valid
Ordinary passport holders from India will still be eligible for the 60-day visa exemption for tourism and short business trips. The exemption remains a good choice for those planning short visits to Thailand.
However, those who need a visa, be it for longer stays, for specific business purposes, or other categories, will have to apply through the new e-Visa system, effective January 1, 2025.
Preparing Your Visit with the e-Visa System
Submit Applications Online
All visa applications should be submitted only through the official e-Visa website starting from January 2025. This will help ensure that applicants have a safe and streamlined process.
