Raj Kapoor is a legend who has been celebrated by generations. Some of his timeless films are Awaara, Sangam, Shree 420, and Mera Naam Joker, which not only were successful in India but also had success in Central Asia, where it struck a chord in terms of culture.
The Kapoor family intends to mark his centenary by hosting some of his most iconic films through a dedicated festival. Some memorable works in the lineup include Barsaat, Shree 420, Awaara, Jagte Raho, Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti Hai, Mera Naam Joker, Bobby, and Ram Teri Ganga Maili. These films will show the artistic genius along with humanistic themes that mark the career of Raj Kapoor in all his films, for which he was conferred the Dadasaheb Phalke Award and the Padma Bhushan.
