Film Review: Singham Returns
Film Review: Singham Two
‘Singham Two’ falls nothing short of its expectation vis-à-vis action, dialogues or even storyline. Director Rohit Shetty has stood out once again to prove that his style of movies have their own genre (deafening action, subtle romance and a usual storyline). The movie is definitely not for the weak hearted for every ten minutes there are more than ten cars blowing out and banging into each other with shooters who have forgotten to pull fingers out from the trigger loop. However, it is commendable that young Directors like Rohit Shetty, who show extremely loud and earsplitting action at least bring about the spirit of humanity, ethics and patriotism in audiences. The movie displays good screenplay and has typical Singham-crisp dialogues, even though a lot of them are in Marathi. You will enjoy watching Mumbai police’s smart moves and the spirit of patriotism to catch the bad guys.
“The movie is quite predictable but I enjoyed watching Ajay Devgn’s Singham role, Kareena Kapoor lashing out in Marathi, and a special mention to the patent -Daya Darwaza tod do!” says Kahan Vora, a diamond merchant from Mumbai, caught at the movie’s screening.
Go ahead watch this movie for some Indian action and the fact that for a change the good politicians do not turn bad towards the end, all the police guys are honest and the force is intelligent enough to catch the bad guys!
The movie is directed by Rohit Shetty, produced by Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn under banner of Reliance Entertainment. Music by Jeet Ganguli, Ankit Tiwari, Meet Bros Anjjan and Yo Yo Honey Singh. The movie would be up in your near theatres on 15th August 2014.
