According to a recent report, Indian airlines received a staggering 809 hoax bomb threats between 2019 and 2023, with a alarming 719 of those incidents occurring in 2024 alone.

The report reveals that the majority of 809 hoax bomb threats in 5 Years were made via phone calls, with 543 incidents reported in 2024. Additionally, 176 threats were made through emails, while 10 were made through social media platforms.

Several Indian airlines have been targeted by these hoax bomb threats, including IndiGo, SpiceJet, and Air India. The report notes that these threats have resulted in significant disruptions to flight operations, causing delays and cancellations.
