The Incident
On November 20, a complainant reported that a masked individual had snatched their phone in the Karol Bagh area. The police were able to obtain CCTV footage of the incident, but the snatcher’s face was obscured by a mask.
AI-Powered Facial Recognition
The Delhi Police’s AI-powered facial recognition system was used to analyze the CCTV footage. The system, which uses advanced algorithms to identify facial features, was able to match the snatcher’s eyes and facial structure to a suspect in the police database.
