– Protests and Violence: A furious crowd later tried to march to the private residence of Chief Minister N Biren Singh in Imphal which led to alert security forces to control the crowd.
– *Curfew and Internet Suspension*: To prevent the provocation of further violence the Manipur government put restrictions on the movements by implementing a curfew in Imphal East, Imphal West and Bishnupur districts as well as banned the internet and mobile data services promoting hatred speeches.

-AFSPA Re-imposition: This has, however, not impressed the protesters because the Centre has decided to extend the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act (AFSPA) in six police station areas.
