Indian cricket team skipper Rohit Sharma has reportedly become the proud father of a baby boy, with the couple yet to make an official announcement about the newest addition to them. Rohit Sharma already has a daughter with his wife Ritika Sajdeh, who was born in 2018. As lately seen the skipper being away from cricketing action, which led to certain speculations over what had brought the Indian superstar to a break, the good news is now an end to all speculations. Ritika’s pregnancy, which has essentially been a behind-the-scenes affair during most of her pregnancy, came to light only when Rohit stepped out of the team this month.

This is a dividing line for Indian cricket. Having just returned from a beating in the ODI series at the hands of New Zealand, this is the India team’s chance to face off against the Aussies in the much-awaited Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The team still appears to be searching for consistent openers, and the absence of Rohit has made things more complex for them.

The Border-Gavaskar Trophy presents a tough challenge for India, and they are eyeing victory in this series following the recent embarrassing setbacks.
