Man Killed in Noida After Dispute Over Scarf at Meat Shop

A 35-year-old man was stabbed to death on Thursday afternoon at Noida’s Sector 113 after an altercation at a local meat shop, the police said. Sources close to the victim alleged that the brutal attack was carried out by an unidentified assailant following a heated argument over a scarf. Shahjad, whose family originally hailed from Meerut, hailed from Sorkha area in Noida. Shahjad was reportedly purchasing meat from the shop when the incident occurred.

He reportedly initiated a scuffle for his scarf with another customer Shahjad. The reasons behind that outlandish demand remain unknown. However, things took an ugly turn when the other customer did not oblige, leading to a verbal duel. Before anyone knows it, it turned into a full-blown fight where both of them were seen exchanging punches. While onlookers tried to cool down the situation, a butcher’s knife-wielding suspect allegedly stabbed Shahzad twice with that butcher’s knife, causing serious injuries to the chest area.

Shahzad came out of the shop after the assault and walked some distance when he fell to the ground because of heavy bleeding. Locals around that place were anxious and immediately informed the police, who rushed to the scene. In the meantime, however, Shahzad had died of his injuries. Police teams began their investigation within no time, taking statements from the owner of the meat shop and other eye witnesses.

It has left the town in shock, and authorities have formed three different teams that are working to trace the whereabouts of the assailant. A case has been registered under Section 103 of the Indian Penal Code and police are working exhausting to elicit more details and identify the culprit as investigations are still underway while law enforcement agencies are seeking to piece together the events leading to this crime.

The police have also emphasized the finality of the resolution of this case, ensuring that justice is served to the perpetrator as soon as possible. This case is strongly in evidence to point out the dangers of unprovoked violence and the need for vigilance within local communities.
